The weekend....

So...made a couple of pages...and a card. I was going to submit the card...but don't know...i painted with create a shade paint on it...so it's shimmery.

The pond study page...used Reflections & ctmh cardstock. And the cute id tags...LOVE THEM! Why don't I use the stamps I buy...have had them for MONTHS!

And TOGETHER....carson & Emma don't stand still let a lone together....so a moment frozen in time! I used the textured cardstock from ctmh, starting to really like it. LIke I used to obsess over bazzill!

ok ladies...here are the page/cards for this month. remember...you can choose the page or the cards. these are super bright colors...i know...but a great way to end summer! and the create a shade paint is SO FUN! I have used up a whole bottle this past two weeks! WE'll paint chipboard...and some of them are going bye bye in dec...so BUY NOW! Remember to bring paper trimmer, adhesive!

Cards for a Friend....and survey?!?

Ok...stupid link to survey...was supposed to show what I was....and it's paper...made sense. but i'll have to go back & grab the details.

today I made these for a friend....for a bunco prize (wonder what bunco is?) and I rather like how they turned out. TOok about an hour...so good time killer & then I took the kids to the pool for 2 hours...and love our lifeguards. THey are so cute & fun....I pretend I am 22 when I talk to them too! HA!

The Thinking of you card is for a funeral we have to attend tomorrow. A young dad of only 36 passed away suddenly....his wife & two young kids are so sad I am sure. That is an ok card for that right?

Day 1 of my create a shade experiment

this is what i am having my hostess club do in august...use create a shade from ctmh to paint! we'll be painting some paper, dimensional letters...and shapes. so I had to play tonight!

Foot Ball season??? not for 35 days

or something like that. brian tells me every day how many days, hours, minutes & seconds...but i know we're in the 30's! here is a page from april...we went to lincoln, ne for the spring scrimmage. no...game. full blown game!! i used textured cardstock from ctmh, touchdown stamp, some black hinges, mini black brads....and cricut stamped font.

when it rains....you always get a

rainbow! aren't these amazing? it was over 97 today...and then this hit & dropped the temp to 72!

back to school?

Really? Did you know that mine start on aug 19th? that's not too far away! i am really ready....and not ready. i tend to like to sleep in...and well, school days ruin that. i also like to stay up late...and summers are good for that.

but routine...kids & adults really do thrive on a routine don't they? and school is good for that, good for daily socializing, excercise, etc. and well...they learn while at school.

i have to admit...i bought workbooks for the kids to do this summer....do you know how many hours we've spent on them ??? ZERO! Not a damn minute! oh no! hope they don't get stupid over the summer! haha!

the summer heat has not been too hot either...so it's been a nice summer!

Ok.....From Mary's suggestion I joined! I am a CTMH rep, a mom, a business owner, a wife, and what else???? I really like scrapbooking...kids help fuel that addiction. Great subjects make it easy to do. And stamping is just an extension of that. It's so fun to create & see immediate results. I love to send cards out & recieve them. Wedding & Birthday Card

Mary needed Inspiration for a wedding card...and I needed to make one for my sister to give out tomorrow. THis is what I made along with a few bday cards. they use the stamp of the month for august....great set!

Kids fishing

we have these ponds by our house...3 of them i guess. and they are full of fish. so full that you get a bite the moment the line hits. they are just sunfish, tiny. emma caught a HUGE one last time. as you can see. greatest thing...it's free! kids dont' need a license & I just watch!

ok....so it took me a year....instead of the 52 days I Planned...oops! I was intending to decorate one card (from a playing deck) per day....and have it reflect my trials, tribulations, joys, etc from the 52 days. well....as you will see by looking @ these I struggle alot. daily which turns into weeks & months. and I have to say i am relieved to have FINISHED IT! there are a lot of techniques, art, simple, complicated work on here:
