Goodness. Seems I was posting cards on a different blog. Woops! Here's a few. 

ICAD 9 & 10

Went neon!! Used my hand carved stamps and some custom foam stamps I made too. Couple inspiring quotes and done!

ICAD 7 & 8

Two cards done for the challenge. Lots of different mediums. Messy and fun!

Also prepped a few cards for busy days. Since neon is so hot right now I bought four tubes of color. Kinda like!

ICAD DAY 6

Day 6, very much inspired by a special treasure. My aunt brought me my great grandfathers nursery invoice slips from 1940!  Five full books!! Can't wait to put them to good use!

Used hand carved stamps and rub on letters. Little house stamped on a dictionary page. 

ICAD day 3

I used a hand caved (by me) stamp for leaf/feather. Some edges of paper for a border/background. This new adhesive I have is called YES. I really like it. 

ICAD 2013....Day 1

This is a new challenge I am taking on...called ICAD....Index Card A Day!  From the blog Daisy Yellow (link to right).  She even gives prompts & / or themes each week.  I used my gelatos today to make this card....added paisleys w/ pitt pen.  While I had the cards & gelatos out I precolored some other cards to use later on.  Might even throw on a quote or poem here & there!

Gonna get back to bloggin....

With school out, I am gonna make sure to set more time aside being crafty.  Starting off with ICAD (index card a day) with Daisy Yellow (link on right)....starting tomorrow I should have one post a day for this challenge...and maybe bonus ones with updates on my garden, art journal, etc....here we go!

Scrapbook Kits…from Capture…

Our local scrapbook store has a small company called “Capture” that sells layout kits they make up. Anywhere from 1-4 page layouts.  My son has baseball training right across the street from their store so I figured it was meant to be….that I would go try out a few kits one night.  So I packed up a small amount of tools (they are all precut!) and a few photos and headed off. They have quite a few kits that range from holidays to everyday themes.  I spent $27 (one kit was on sale) and did 6 complete pages!  Would I go again…yes…but probably just to do kits on sale or something like that.  I have a plan when I scrapbook…to get stuff done!  There were other ladies there but they just chatted…for 2 hours!  I was there to work!!  So I did two kits…just random that they seem to match each other.

Find YOU….again…

One of my new crafts is art journaling.  I took a Donna Downey class last year & it inspired me to get messy & create more freely.  NO rules!  I started on a plain paper spiral bound notebook.  But it became too bulky. So I started on a canvas book I found at Hobby Lobby (I’ll look up brand later).  It has a canvas front/back and rings instead of spirals. So I can make it nice & Fat & chunky!!  I haven’t posted the cover yet, it’s not finished.  I did a couple of pages and finished this one last night.  It’s acutally page 3.  I’ll catch up on the other too later in the week.  It’s for a challenge on youtube.  Vanessa Middleton’s youtube channel….BUTTERFLY is her channel.  I need to video tape my entry & post it. YIKES!

Summer Together Layout

I love my kids….and they usually love each other! I make sure to snap photos when we’re out and about with my iphone.  But rarely think about printing them.  But they’re the candid moments I want to remember the most.  So I sat down one day & printed off a bunch of the square photos from instagram and found a great layout in CTMH Layout Book. I my have gone over the top w/ embellishments & letters…but LOVED how bright and crazy it turned out, Just like my kids!

I’m Back…..Valentines!!!

I really do enjoy blogging and crafting…so you would think the two would come so easily! But it doesn’t….I go through crafters block and then I have nothing to blog about!  I got it back this weekend I think!  Made a stack of Valentines Day Cards….Let me know what you think!

I found a 6x6 stack of papers I loved…grey & pink & red!  Added some canvas buttons from CTMH (OLD!) and some cool grey striped washi tape (Recollections) and a little bakers twine (Martha).  Nothing too fancy…but quick & easy!

Love halloween…and used an old paper pack to make these …cut out the labels from ‘old jars’ from a piece of patterned paper!

A few more flower cards

These flower cards are so easy to create with…do any CTMH ladies recognize the layouts  of the cards? In my effort to create fast…I took an old idea book and started copying the cards in the idea book…front to back…changing papers, stamps, etc

I am a sucker for pretty much any flower stamp…especially when they are easy to cut around or even better yet….have a cricut cartridge that matches it!
