Char's Cards

Hey...hope you like these. In real life they are a bit brighter...i used outdoor denim (dark blue), spring iris (periwinkle) and sweet leaf (soft green)....and chocolate to distress. I used a water brush to color in the cute houses, and some ribbons for decoration! Theses are for a friend's customers who just bought a new house....:)

Must Love Water...

I kinda pulled the title from 'must love dogs'. And carson...he must love water...cuz he could stay in it all day long! the pool, the ocean...any water...even the bath! I wish we lived near the beach so he could go every day, until then he'll have to settle for the neighborhood pool! I used MM grommet things, some ribbon of course, cricut for MUST LOVE and waves....and CTMH new solo dimensional shapes...so easy to add to a page!

Beach pages...using Reflections book as guide

So...i held off on ordering that book from CTMH...cuz the old one was well, old. BUT wow....great art, great useable layouts...that don't require a lot of cropping...but plenty of room for artistic twists!

I used some ctmh, some not...but layout used the ideas from Reflections....bright bold colors...and paper tearing are my hot items now....and liquid glass...makes your own gems! and.....our new solo dimensional shapes..how did I create without them???

this one is using colors close on color wheel to finish off my deck of cards. I did this one with nature on it to remember the day camp hike today. and the watermelon one...has prisma glitter all over it...just ready for summer

World Stamping Week is here!!

at two peas...and i joined in on the fun @ made some cool cards tonight. Here they are!!!!!!!! I used some new stamps, old papers,new ribbon ric rac....and voila!

Fun Beach Page.

I like doing one photo pages...one page layouts...so easy....and had fun with this one. A nice large photo of the kids from the beach. I used photoshop & adjusted the colors...kinda faded them & stuff....and had fun with some new ctmh stuff.

June Hostess Page & cards

Sorry it took me SO long to get these samples up! I have really liked this paper...but wanted to use flowers & they weren't working for me...I also wanted to do father's day stuff...so that's what I ended up with. But no technique....guess I'll have to do a big technique at the next meeting. The members either get to do the 12x12 page or the 2 cards (same amount of paper...for each project).

Pure Country...my comments on the movie

George...he's a classic. XM has a STRAIT COUNTRY channel in honor of his new album (which I may just have to buy & I NEVER buy music!)....and Pre Country was on CMT last week. I tivo'd it & am just now watching it. Oh, my....he's a cutie patootie! He's so young in the movie & so cute! And Kyl Chandler...he's not too hard on the eyes either. IT's just a stinkin cute movie. The music, the cowboys, even the girl he likes...Harley...her jeans are up to her chest...but she's cute too! I even got to see him in concert....and he does just what he said he "wants" to do...he stands there, plays a guitar & sings. That's it. I think my dream life would be to live on a ranch. WIth a few cows, few pigs, sheep, goats, lots of chickens...the special ones Martha has. Wouldn't that be the life?

today's ramblings....

So...Ellen yesterday was classic...she rode one of those pony seat things...literally laughed SO HARD I should have had on some depends. Even Emma was laughing....just funny. Today I have the day off from the salon...so I slept in, watched tivo shows, took a bath & read....then headed out to go to the bank. Got a chili from wendy's...good for WW points. And now am home...going to scrapbook in a few minutes...but just saw that Pure Country is on. With George Strait. What a good movie that is. His music isn't too bad either. ON XM they have a music channel that is ONLY George Strait...it's called Strait Country...old, new..in the middle. I LOVE IT! I am tivo'ing the movie so I can watch it later & cry. It is raining outside today...was supposed to be a blizzard...but doubt it. THe rain will perk up the grass & all...but snow? It's may 1st for goodness sakes!
