My Present to ME!

I used the new More to Adore papers to make this canvas into a clock/wall art thingy. I used our Stick Stock Linen to print photos on & modge podge (matte) to glue it all down!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

But not too much more please!! This is enough...really! The first pix was around 3 pm earlier today, the 2nd two were from about 9 pm. We supposidly still have 12 hours left in the "blizzard"! See the fence in pix one & how much of it you really see...not too much in the 2nd pic! And see the window...those are in the basement....ooooh!

Snowed In & making Cards!!!

Thank goodness UPS guy delivered my new stamps yesterday before the snow hit! Now I have something to do late into the night. Kids have NO SCHOOL tomorrow so we can all stay up late!! I Love this stamp set...Floral Elements...has squares with texture (small & large) plus little petals to make flowers with!

Week Color challenge!!!

3 Colors this week are Dutch Blue, Garden Green & Bamboo....I used embossing powder, paint, hemp, lots of fun stuff on this one. It may be hard to tell but the bug on bottom is a thick layer of embossing powder stamped when hot, then painted. The right panel of the layout is several layers of embossing powder cracked & then painted too!

These are OLD photos I keep meaning to add to the albums...but may just start a fun layout, random pix album for them instead!

Silly Boy & New Card

He is always doing the strangest things. This day he said he was going to wear his underwear on his head all day. Thank goodness he didn't! Then I made a digital card...I will print it later to see what it really looks like. I have yet to print any layouts!

3 colors

Twilight, Hollyhock & buttercup are my "colors" for the week. I LOVE twilight...it's the perfect shade of teal, a deep, true color. I used Floral Charms & Simple Stitches for this one. Simple stamping, a few eyelets & hollyhock ribbon!

New header & a digi layout

I just wanted to make sure to post I did not make the digital elements, but I did layer them & mix them to make my header. Credit for the brush, papers, etc is not due to me!

Ok, now that i have that covered....when I post digi layouts btw...most of that is freebie kits from 2 peas, etc. On rare occassion I may add in an element of my own.

Now...here is a SUPER easy layout...from Erica H. on 2peas freebie kit...you just add your photo...and it matched this photo SO well I had to do it.

I think there is a place here in town where I can print out these layouts too...easy way to make an album for the folks.

Chalked background

I used a 12x12 sheet of white daisy cardstock for my background. I used versamark to stamp the image from "alfresco" and chalked pink, green & brown to look soft. When the chalk hits the versamark it sticks...becomes darker shade, very cool! I also did the same technique with the 3 hanging images on bottom.

Look how nice the kids were being for my at dinner! I had to take a pix to try & remember that!

Giant Birthday card

This is for the teacher tomorrow...and it's large enough for all the kids to sign it. I used a 12x12 folio from CTMH to make a card. With the new stamp set...and fun, bright colors.

NEW STAMPS!!!

From the Spring Idea book...this is a stamp of the month in the future...and I LOVE IT!

I used these funky, bright colors for thanksgiving layouts that really didn't have any fall colors, activities in them.

Lilac Mist, Bubblegum & Crystal Blue

Yes..it has snowed here today but I still managed to make an easter card last night. CRAZY!

See how EASTER is in different colors? I cut my stamp! EASTER was one image & I used some pointy scissors to cut each letter apart. So...now I can stamp each letter in a different color! EASY!

Crystal Blue, Chocolate, Cranberry & New England Ivy

Four more unusual colors that I just really like! And I really LOVE how this card turned out tonight. The cover is cut on the edge to reveal the chocolate/cranberry circles that are actually on the INSIDE of the card. Fun! I used the magic foam stamps from last week to stamp the cranberry strip & the background of card. Hope you like it as much as I do! Now I just need someone to do something special so I can send them this congrats card!

Hollyhock, Cranberry, Barn Red & Garnet

These are FOUR colors for the weekend. They are not colors one thinks to use in cardmaking really. BUT...I think they look sorta cool together.

I used woodland sentiments for the little greetings. They are SO tiny...but I like what they say. Wish they were just a tad bigger & wish we had more like these sentiments for cardmaking, maybe in the new book which debuts 1/1/07!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot wait to get that book in my hands!

One is for my sister's bday card...the others just use up scraps. I attempted to color my photo hanger by heat embossing it. Oops! Next time I will use a silver one that has no color over it already(the white started to melt into my embossing powder). I think it looks good enough to pass!

Magic Foam

I LOVE This stuff....you can do a goggle search for magic foam stamping. And you'll find them...but try to buy them locally...I found some for $.75 a block at a local art shop. Online they were more $$. It's like a foamy block you heat with your heat gun, then press into 3D shapes to make your own stamp out of. I used ribbons, Just Blooms, Dimensional alphabets, buttons, electrical supply stuff, FUN! You have to try it!

Funky Photo Art

Wouldn't it be fun to put one of these on your wall? OR you kids room? Saw a link on another blog & had to try it out.http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/warholizer.php
